This New England brand got its start making arch supports, eventually transitioning into specialized athletic footwear. In 1960, it became the first brand to make a running shoe in differing widths. Years later, the brand is known for its high-performance running shoes as much as its vintage-inspired sneakers worn across the globe.
ASICS®
EST. 1977
Using the initials from founder Kihachiro Onitsuka’s personal Latin motto, anima sana in corpore sano (or “a sound mind in a sound body”), for its company name, Japanese brand ASICS has always been at the forefront of sneaker technology since its beginnings in 1949 as the Onitsuka Co.

The field boot
Based on an archival model from our vintage catalogs, these boots are rugged and practical—proven so by our creative director, who once relied on an original pair as his only shoes for the better part of a year. Field boots were initially designed for working outdoors, worn by farmers, hunters and the military in all kinds of conditions. Our updated versions are made with English leather from C.F. Stead and suede, with oil-resistant Vibram® outsoles for durability and improved grip.
The Alden Shoe Company

Founded in Middleborough, Massachusetts, Alden® is a family-owned company and the oldest shoemaker in New England—in fact, it’s the only remaining original shoemaker from the early days of the industry in eastern Massachusetts. They build all of their genuine-welted shoes, including our newest exclusives, with a precision-crafted tempered steel shank that provides shape and support for years of comfort. Using premium materials like Horween Genuine Shell Cordovan® and leather linings, Alden’s shoes are designed to last a lifetime.

The Camden kiltie tassel loafer
While the exact origins of kiltie loafers are up for debate, the style came into popularity in the 1950s as a dressier take on the traditional penny loafer. The fringed piece of leather protected the shoe from dirt and debris—and in some cases, kept the shoe’s laces from catching. Our take on the classic is built in pull-up leather from C.F. Stead, an English tannery that’s been perfecting its processes since the early 1900s. It also features a stacked leather sole with a rubber dovetail heel.
The Camden lug-sole loafer
We gave the classic beefroll penny loafer a rugged yet elevated revamp for your more casual days. The uppers are crafted in full-grain leather from England’s C.F. Stead Tannery (est. 1904) that will break in and develop a distinct patina with each wear; the linings are also leather for improved comfort and durability. Inspired by vintage hiking boots, we added Vibram® rubber lug soles for better traction and longevity.

The original Camden loafer
Penny loafers have occupied a place in American style for nearly a century. We craft ours with smooth leather or supple suede uppers, with a choice of rubber or leather outsoles that dress up or down. While there are many variations on the style, ours are based on the original design from the 1930s that was popular with college students—the coin slots fit the two cents needed for a phone call home.

Brothers Paul and Jim opened the Van Doren Rubber Company in Anaheim, California, making and selling shoes to skateboarders who needed durable, lightweight pairs. By the ’70s, they shortened the name to Vans and became synonymous with laid-back West Coast style. The brand’s new Premium Classics line upgrades some of its most iconic styles, combining archival details with modern updates like anti-fatigue Sola Foam ADC insoles.
Saucony®
EST. 1898
Saucony is named for the Saucony Creek in Kutztown, Pennsylvania, home of its first factory over 125 years ago. The company used to print the words “sock a knee” on its shoeboxes so that customers would know how to pronounce the brand name correctly, and is now known the world over for its top-tier running-inspired shoes.
